This month marked my 6 month dysfunctional relationship with this god awfully awesome city I call home. I am far from considering myself a true new yorker, though I have had my few “fuck you” moments with taxis and people on the subway. One thing I’ve learned from taking a bite out of The Big Apple is it likes to bite right back, especially during the colder season. Alas, a blog for chaps who can relate to this love/hate relationship we all circum to.
Today marks the 3 week anniversary since I moved to Brooklyn. I’ve had my ups and downs but nothing like an impromptu sing-a-long with my roommate or an out of the blue Rufus Wainwright concert at prospect park to make things a little brighter.
Not to mention the cute little kiddies from PS22 and their renditions of some of today’s biggest hits. They blow my days in church choir out of the water. Eat your heart out gleeks.
even though the deadline has past, this barcelona time capsule is pretty epic. Barcelona residents and people from all over the world can personally or online leave a little somethin’ somethin’ (poems, photos, a letter about what life was like in 2010) and in 150 years, the time capsule will be cracked open. See you in 2159.
