I
This month marked my 6 month dysfunctional relationship with this god awfully awesome city I call home. I am far from considering myself a true new yorker, though I have had my few “fuck you” moments with taxis and people on the subway. One thing I’ve learned from taking a bite out of The Big Apple is it likes to bite right back, especially during the colder season. Alas, a blog...

that's a big time capsule →
even though the deadline has past, this barcelona time capsule is pretty epic. Barcelona residents and people from all over the world can personally or online leave a little somethin’ somethin’ (poems, photos, a letter about what life was like in 2010) and in 150 years, the time capsule will be cracked open. See you in 2159.

Finally, it is complete! The months of hard labor and driving out to the far ends of New England has turned into my first short documentary called “On My Own.” I had a blast doing this and even though it is a sad topic, these people featured were great and deserve the best. I hope you guys enjoy it.

We couldn’t help but watch the car crash happen before our eyes as her friends turn away in embarassment. Here is my attempt at capturing the moment.

adventures of a foodie
I feel like food has become my specialty in Barcelona, nothing like being thrown into a new cultural experience, especially when it involves food. Today we all went on a hike to Tibidabo, a mountain with an amusement park at the top, but along the way we stopped for some traditional Catalan grub. We had some calçotada, a long sweet onion about the size of a leek, which they grill and serve it nice...

Here is a video of Rosalia drinking wine out of the purró like a champ. After a faulty first try, she goes in for the kill on the second. As you can see, it’s a bit tricky at first but anyone can become a pro with a little bit of drinking practice.

Metro Rocks
I was walking to my metro line today after work and there was a concert going on. Right before my eyes, there was a full on concert in the Universitat metro stop with seats and the whole shebang. It’s called La música que viaja contigo (The music that travels with you) and it’s the 7th year that they have been doing this. The point is to help promote live music in the metro and get...
